Let the Decorating Begin!
It’s time to pull out my Anne Murray Christmas album and put it on repeat! The bins are making their way out of my basement and I am ready to decorate my home! Too soon? I am on team – decorate in mid-November. What about you? Do you wait until the first snowfall? December 1? What is your starting time?
Doesn’t matter what team you’re on – I think we all probably start with the quick and easy things that make it feel like Christmas quickly. For me – that’s florals! It is so easy to swap out your picks and sprays for instant Christmas gratification.
I am a huge fan of buffalo plaid – the red and black check pattern. It is county Christmas to me – I even have a pair of buffalo plaid shoes! My favourite of our florals is the Country Holiday Buffalo Paid Collection. I enjoy this a lot during the holiday and will often change out some of it with the Black and White Collection after Christmas.
The second thing that I will add in this year are gnomes. The mischievous gnomes always make me smile and my boys enjoy having them around too. I think it is because its some décor that’s not too frilly! And because some of them are buffalo plaid…. they make my heart happy.
That's how I am starting my decorating this season. Quick and easy amid the busy. Hope you find some time soon to pull our your Christmas decor and get started too. The season goes so fast!
